Empty Pickleball Courts? It’s all a matter of timing.
In Vietnam, I stumbled across something I almost never see in the U.S. — empty pickleball courts. It struck me how even when demand is high, the right match of time, place, and availability can sometimes fall perfectly into place.
In the world of autism therapy, this challenge is even more critical. There are passionate therapists ready to help, and families eager to receive services. Yet aligning the right therapist with the right child, at a time and location that work for both, can be incredibly difficult.
Some forward-thinking platforms and autism providers are stepping up to prioritize smarter scheduling. I’ve seen ABA firms recently highlight openings in early morning sessions at their clinics, a creative way to meet this demand and make the “impossible” possible -and providing both types of reinforcement to minimize cancellations going forward.
There’s no shortage of need — just a shortage of matches. The good news? With thoughtful innovation, we’re getting closer to those empty courts being filled.
